WorldSquash.org Unveils Free WWT Streaming

Live coverage of the Women's World Team Squash Championship, which gets underway today in Cairo, will be available free to enthusiasts worldwide following an agreement reached between the World Squash Federation and 247.tv

"This will be the biggest ever live webcast of a squash tournament - and the audience is also expected to break all records for a live audience," said 247.tv spokesman Peter Wickson

The 2008 Championship, at the National Stadium in the Egyptian capital from 30 November to 6 December, is being held under the auspices of Egyptian first lady Suzanne Mubarak.

The coverage of the event - which features the world's top players from 19 nations - is expected to feature at least 60 matches from the National Stadium's Centre Court. Every single match will be free to view via the WSF website.

England, seeded to retain the title they won two years ago in Canada, are expected to face the hosts in the final. Egypt celebrated a best-ever second place finish in 2006.

Planned schedule of coverage is as follows:

Day 1 (30th Nov) (times given are local in Egypt: remove 2 hours for UK Time; 1 hour for CET; or 7 hours for US Eastern)
11.00: Egypt v Canada; 14.30: Malaysia v South Africa; 18.00: New Zealand v Italy

Day 2 (1st Dec)
11.00: Egypt v Switzerland; 14.30: Netherlands v South Africa; 18.00: France v Spain

Day 3 (2nd Dec)
11.00: England v France; 14.30: Malaysia v Netherlands; 18.00: France v Hong Kong

Over the final three days of knockout action (4-6 December), coverage will feature a combination of Centre Court and Glass Court matches.

Whilst live coverage will be free to access, replays of all individual matches will be available on www.247.tv for a small fee within 24 hours of the matches taking place.
